Ha battuto anche il record di “Despacito” con il brano “Look what you made me do” e a pochi giorni di distanza Taylor Swift ha anticipato un nuovo brano dell’album “Reputation“.
Un brano diverso dal primo, in cui la cantante si cimenta nel rap, ma che rimarca un concetto già espresso: molte cose sono cambiate e la vecchia Taylor è morta, ma non è detto che il cambiamento avvenga sempre con disinvoltura. Non c’è un video ma solo l’audio di “… Ready for it?“, così non ci saranno troppi dettagli da analizzare, se non i versi del pezzo, a tratti discutibili. Il testo, infatti, non è dei più eccelsi ma si sa, quello conta solo fino a un certo punto. Sorvolando la strofa “He can be my jailer, Burton to this Taylor“, che fa riferimento a Richard Burton e Elizabeth Taylor, il ritornello è sicuramente la parte che funziona di più, ed è quella che deve funzionare in un brano, dopotutto. Con “… Ready for it?” Taylor Swift cerca di mostrare il suo lato più sexy, perché fondamentalmente nel brano si parla di sesso. Rispetto al primo brano, questo è meno riuscito ma ce ne sono molti altri in attesa di essere ascoltati, quindi saremo pronti a dare un giudizio complessivo il prossimo 10 novembre, quando uscirà “Reputation“.
