Eddie Vedder è tornato con un brano inedito, “Matter of time”, e una nuova versione di “Say hi”. Sono disponibili online i due video ufficiali, che potete trovare in fondo all’articolo. Il primo brano è una novità assoluta per i fan del frontman dei Pearl Jam. Il secondo, invece, lo ha già suonato live in più occasioni. Eddie Vedder sta portando avanti la sua carriera da solista e ha eseguito i brani per una giusta causa: una raccolta fondi.
Entrambe le tracce sono state eseguite, infatti, in occasione dell’evento digitale “Venture into cures”. Si tratta di un evento organizzato a favore della ricerca di una cura contro l’epidermolisi bollosa, una rara malattia genetica. Oltre a Eddie Vedder, hanno preso parte alla raccolta fondi moltissime altre star, della musica e non solo. Hanno partecipato Judd Apatow, Bradley Cooper, Laura Dern, Billie Eilish, Chris Hemsworth, Jimmy Kimmel, David Letterman, Gaten Matarazzo, Luis “King Kong” Ortiz, Adam Sandler, Jill Vedder e Renée Zellweger, oltre che performace di Jon Batiste, Alessia Cara, Andra Day, Glen Hansard, Adam Levine, Keb ‘Mo’, Lukas, Micah e Willie Nelson.

L’epidermolisi bollosa colpisce all’incirca 500mila persone al mondo. I bambini che ne sono affetti affrontano ogni giorno dolori intensi, ferite esterne ed interne ed estenuanti processi di fasciature. Nonostante al momento non esistano trattamenti specifici o cure di questa malattia, la EB Research Partnership ha contribuito a velocizzare la ricerca non solo per l’epidermolisi bollosa ma anche per altre patologie rare.
