Un brano allegro e dal tocco inconfondibile, è stato pubblicato “Fantasy“, il primo singolo postumo di George Michael.
Il cantante, ex voce degli Wham!, purtroppo ci ha lasciati il 25 dicembre di un anno fa ma, com’era già stato annunciato, uscirà un album postumo intitolato “Listen without prejudice/MTV unplugged“. La release è fissata per il prossimo 20 ottobre, ma intanto qui sotto trovate testo e video di “Fantasy“, al quale George Michael ha lavorato insieme al produttore e chitarrista Nile Rodgers. “Fantasy“, rielaborato in questa versione, risale all’album “Faith“, quello che segnò l’esordio di Michael come solista. Nel frattempo le sorelle dell’artista, Melanie e Yioda, hanno dichiarato di voler portare avanti l’operato di George Michael e continuare a diffondere la sua musica. Lo hanno fatto pubblicando una lettera sul sito ufficiale del cantante, nella quale hanno spiegato che stanno ancora cercando di superare il dolore per la morte del fratello insieme al resto della famiglia, ma seguono sempre quello che i fan hanno da dire e vogliono concretizzare tutti i progetti ai quali aveva duramente lavorato:
“Crediamo che nonostante tutta la “spazzatura” i fan di Yog, i suoi “adorati” in giro per il mondo, sanno chi fosse veramente e chi è, dopo aver condiviso decenni di musica, amore e ironia. Il nostro intento è quello di continuare, sappiamo che lui lo avrebbe voluto, a condividere e godere della sua preziosa eredità e continuare a portarvi gioia attraverso la sua musica straordinariamente bella. […] Promettiamo di onorarlo sempre rimanendo fedeli alle sue ambizioni e alle sue intenzioni”.
