A poche ore dall’annuncio sulla pagina ufficiale, i Florence + The Machine hanno rilasciato il nuovo brano, “Light of love”.
Si tratta di una sorpresa per i fan ma anche di una buona causa che inizia a prendere forma. Tutti i profitti delle vendite e degli stream del brano, infatti, saranno devoluti alla Intensive Care Society, per supportare tutti i dottori, gli infermieri e le professioni sanitarie che sono in prima linea per combattere contro il coronavirus.
“Light of love” è stato registrato nel 2018, durante le session di “High as hope“, l’ultimo album pubblicato dai Florence + The Machine. Florence Welch ha così voluto fare ai suoi fan un regalo che sicuramente apprezzeranno:
“Light of love” è una canzone inedita di “High as Hope”, non è mai arrivata nell’album ma ho pensato di rilasciarla a mezzanotte, oggi, come un mio piccolo pegno d’amore. E per sensibilizzare sul lavoro della Intensive Care Society, che offre cura e supporto per incredibili dottori, infermieri e professionisti sanitari in prima linea contro questa crisi. Donerà tutti gli incassi di questo brano alla Intensive Care Society. Vi amo e mi mancate moltissimo. Con voi con lo spirito dalla mia quarantena a South London.
