No, gli Oasis non si sono riuniti, nonostante le continue proposte di Liam Gallagher. Però hanno pubblicato un inedito e si intitola “Don’t stop”.
Il regalo per i fan arriva direttamente da casa di Noel Gallagher, che in questi giorni di lockdown ne ha approfittato per fare un po’ d’ordine. Lo stesso cantante ha raccontato di aver avuto modo di ritrovare e ascoltare i numerosi cd chiusi nelle varie scatole sparse per la casa. Si è così imbattuto in “Don’t stop” e ha deciso di pubblicare l’inedito per fare un regalo ai fan in questa lunga fase di quarantena. Il brano è stato scritto 15 anni fa, quando gli Oasis erano ancora insieme e si intitola “Don’t stop”. Noel Gallagher pensava che la traccia fosse andata persa e invece si è imbattuto nella registrazione di una demo che, molto probabilmente, è stata fatta durante un soundcheck a Hong Kong.
Se pensavate che mancasse qualcuno all’appello, tranquilli: Liam Gallagher è intervenuto poco dopo. Ha scritto su Twitter, rivolgendosi al fratello con l’appellativo di “tofu boy”, dicendogli:
Se decidi di rilasciare una demo, almeno assicurati che ci sia io alla voce e Bonehead (il chitarrista Paul Arthurs, nda) alla chitarra, altrimenti non vale la pena di pubblicare nulla.
Liam ha anche invitato il fratello a condividere un’altra demo, intitolata “Step out“, per poi aggiungere che sicuramente Noel non lo farà, “perché l’ho scritta io ed è geloso”. Quarantena o no, gli ex Oasis non smettono di intrattenere i fan con i loro battibecchi.
